Description:
The Ohio Department of Agriculture is seeking an Engineering Services Provider (ESP) to implement and inspect Phosphorus Removal Structures (PRS) in Ohio. The project aims to reduce nutrient loading that contributes to harmful algal blooms. The ESP will be responsible for site assessment, engineering design, installation, and inspection of PRS on pre-selected sites. The project will begin on the date of the fully-executed agreement and continue through October 31, 2029. • The ESP will conduct site feasibility assessments and develop preliminary engineering plans, nutrient reduction estimates, and cost estimates for each site. • The ESP will design and install PRS on pre-selected sites, with a minimum of 8 structures to be designed and installed. • The ESP will inspect installed structures for 3 years and provide regular reports to ODA. • The ESP will work with landowners to maintain structure functionality and correct failures for the life of the Agreement. • The project has a budget of up to $280,000, and proposals that demonstrate cost efficiency while meeting project deliverables will be viewed favorably.
