The Newton County Water and Sewerage Authority is seeking a Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) for the administration building expansion project. The project aims to improve accessibility, expand workspace, and increase meeting space to accommodate approximately 100 people for public meetings and Board meetings. The CMAR will be responsible for design and constructability reviews, cost estimating, project schedule development, and procurement strategy development. The project is expected to be completed in 24 months, with an estimated construction budget of $3,000,000 to $5,000,000. Key aspects of the project include: • Expansion of the existing administration building • Accommodation for Board meetings • Accommodation for public access and meeting space • Possible renovation of existing workspace in the administration building • Maintenance/enhancements to security for work areas The CMAR will work closely with the Owner and the design engineer to develop a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) for the project.
