Description:
The United States Marine Corps is seeking a contractor to provide maintenance support services for two Datawell Waverider IV (DWR4) buoy systems. The contractor will be responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance, data management, reporting, and spare buoy maintenance and storage. The buoys are used to collect wave and meteorological data to support testing and operational planning. The contractor will be required to perform maintenance services at least twice per year and respond to system malfunctions within 48 hours of notification. • Preventative maintenance services include hull inspection and cleaning, sensor calibration and validation, data logger and telemetry system inspection, power system maintenance, mooring system inspection and replacement, and deck hardware and fittings inspection. • Corrective maintenance services include diagnostics and troubleshooting, component repair and replacement, system testing and validation, and documentation. • Data management services include maintaining data quality control and ensuring continuous data flow to the designated data repository. • Reporting services include providing quarterly reports summarizing maintenance activities, system performance, and any significant events, as well as an annual report summarizing the overall performance of both buoy systems. • Spare buoy maintenance and storage services include storing the spare buoys in a secure controlled environment, maintaining the batteries, conducting functional tests, and maintaining an inventory of essential spare parts.
