Description:
The Department of Enterprise Services (DES) is seeking an architect for pre-design services for the Performing Arts Building Replacement project at Columbia Basin College. The project involves replacing the 53-year-old Performing Arts Center with a state-of-the-art 58,668-square-foot facility. The new building will integrate advanced technology, foster collaboration, and provide instructional, performance, studio, and storage spaces. The project goals include creating flexible, interdisciplinary learning environments, equipping specialized studios and labs, integrating advanced technology, ensuring safe and accessible facilities, and supporting observation, reflection, and assessment. The selected firm will be expected to enter into a standard Engineering and Architectural Services Agreement with the State of Washington. • The project has a preliminary Maximum Allowable Construction Cost (MACC) of $34,800,000. • The project is expected to achieve a minimum LEED silver certification. • The selection process will consist of two phases: Phase 1 SOQ Evaluation and Phase 2 Oral Interviews. • The successful firm will be expected to register in the Department of Enterprise Services' DES Bonfire Hub and encouraged to register in Washington's Electronic Business Solution Application (WEBS).
