The White City VA Medical Center (VAMC) is seeking qualified SDVOSB contractors to modify or replace three doorways in Building 209 to ensure compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The scope of work includes converting solid wood doors in steel frames into automatic doors operable by ADA-compliant buttons. The goal is to retrofit the existing doors and/or door locations with low-energy, power-operated swinging doors that can be activated by pressing a button from both sides of the doorway. • The project requires the modification or replacement of three doorways in Building 209. • The doorways are located on the first and second floors, providing access to the north and south wings. • The project aims to ensure compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). • Contractors are encouraged to reuse existing components where feasible.
