Description:
The Army Contracting Command-Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG) Belvoir Division is conducting market research to identify potential sources that have the skills, experience, knowledge, and capabilities required to manufacture and deliver Third Generation Forward Looking Infrared (3GEN FLIR) Dual Band Infrared Dewar Cooler Bench (DCB) under Low-Rate Initial Production (LRIP) and Full Rate Production (FRP) contracts. The DCB is defined as the assembly and integration of four assemblies and electronic modules, including the Integrated Dewar/Cooler, Control Electronics, and Mechanical bench. • The government anticipates increasing production for the DCB to about 200+, starting in FY28. • Sources must have a fully qualified DCB that has either completed System Verification Review (SVR) and Functional Configuration Audit (FCA) or can demonstrate with data that their design meets all the requirements in the technical documents defined above. • The government plans to ramp up DCB production, and sources must be willing to provide data to verify that their DCB meets the requirements of the Government’s functional baseline. • Foreign participation is excluded, and a SECRET Clearance is required at a minimum.

Budget Estimate (AI):

$50,000,000 – $100,000,000

The budget for this opportunity can be estimated based on the production quantity and the complexity of the Third Generation Forward Looking Infrared Dewar Cooler Bench. Assuming an average cost of $100,000 per unit, the total budget for 200 units would be $20,000,000. However, this is a rough estimate and the actual budget may vary depending on the specifics of the contract and the production costs. The budget may also depend on factors such as the cost of materials, labor, and overhead, as well as the profit margin of the contractor. Given the complexity of the project and the requirements for security clearance and domestic production, the budget may be higher than the estimated $20,000,000. A more realistic estimate would be in the range of $50,000,000 to $100,000,000.
