Description:
The City of Pawtucket and Pawtucket Water Supply Board are seeking a qualified supplier to provide a range of construction‑material products on a “blanket” unit‑price basis for fiscal years 2026‑2028. The contract covers processed gravel, crushed stone, screened loam, high‑performance cold‑patch, hot‑patch asphalt mix and a winter‑mix variant, with deliveries required within 24 hours of request and pick‑up locations limited to within 10 miles of 239 Grotto Ave. Vendors must furnish a 10 % bid bond, may be required to post performance and labor‑and‑payment bonds, and must meet insurance, prevailing‑wage, and EO/AA requirements. The award will be based on the lowest responsive price, and the base term runs from July 1 2026 through June 30 2028 with a possible one‑year extension. • Supply of processed gravel and crushed stone (≈23 tons per delivery) to a City‑designated address. • Supply of screened loam, cold‑patch, hot‑patch and winter‑mix asphalt (pick‑up by PWSB, no minimum order). • All deliveries/pick‑ups must occur within 24 hours of request (excluding weekends/holidays). • Mandatory bonding and insurance (general liability $1 M, workers’ comp $500 K, 10 % bid bond).

Budget Estimate (AI):

$200,000 – $500,000

Based on typical market rates (≈$30‑$45 per ton for gravel/stone, $70‑$100 per ton for cold‑patch, $150‑$200 per ton for hot‑patch), and assuming the City orders roughly 5 deliveries of gravel/stone per year plus assorted asphalt/loam volumes, total annual spend could range from $100‑$250 k. Over the two‑year base term the vendor’s revenue potential would therefore be approximately $200‑$500 k, depending on actual order volumes and unit‑price competitiveness.
