The Department of Enterprise Services (DES) is seeking a qualified architectural firm to provide pre-design feasibility study services for the Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture (MAC) in Spokane, Washington. The selected firm will be responsible for addressing critical facility challenges, including creating adequate exhibition gallery space, addressing aging structural, mechanical, and electrical systems, and enhancing accessibility throughout the museum campus. The project goals include enhancing the visitor experience, refurbishing storage space, and achieving energy efficiency and ADA compliance. The selected firm will be expected to enter into a standard Engineering and Architectural Services Agreement with the State of Washington. Key aspects of the project include: • Creating adequate exhibition gallery space to permanently display the American Indian Collection, Art Collection, and Regional History Collection • Addressing aging structural, mechanical, and electrical systems • Enhancing accessibility throughout the museum campus • Achieving energy efficiency and ADA compliance • Refurbishing storage space and exploring options for off-site storage • Enhancing the visitor experience through the creation of state-of-the-art display spaces and flexible event spaces
