The City of Waycross is seeking an engineering firm to provide pre- and post-award services for community and economic development projects, including public infrastructure improvements such as water, sewer, street paving, and drainage. The selected firm will be responsible for preparing preliminary engineering reports, planning, design, cost estimating, bidding, contracting, construction oversight, quality control, and project closeout. The contract will be based on qualifications, timeframes, and monies, and the firm will need to certify to obtaining and maintaining Build America Buy America (BABA) documentation. • The City is considering applying for federal and/or state funding for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Annual Competition, Employee Incentive Program (EIP), Redevelopment Fund (RDF), and/or Immediate Threat and Danger (ITAD) funds. • The selected firm will need to provide necessary documentation for the application, including preliminary engineering reports, maps, and cost estimates. • The firm will need to meet the draft PER deadline of no later than 30 days after selection as project engineer. • The firm will need to provide a specific cost estimate for providing engineering services for the project from start to final close-out. • The City of Waycross is committed to Affirmatively Further Fair Housing and abides by various laws, including Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Build America Buy America Act (BABA).
