The Otsego County Building Services Department is seeking a qualified vendor to remove and replace the existing roof at the Old Jail Barn location. The project includes furnishing and installing new metal shingle roofing, removing existing roofing, and disposing of materials. The contractor will be required to furnish a performance surety bond and comply with prevailing wage rates and other regulations. Key responsibilities include removing and replacing the roof, scraping and painting the cupola, and installing snow guards. The project must be completed by December 31, 2025. • Remove existing metal shingle roof and legally dispose or recycle • Supply and install 5/8 CDX plywood underlayment over existing roof boards • Supply and install Grace brand ice and water barrier on entire deck surface • Install 26 Gauge Steel, Galvalume 14” x 9.5” Victorian Style Shingles in Horseshoe Pattern • Scrape and paint Cupola exterior with one coat oil based primer and one coat latex finish • Include aluminum flashing at all roofs to vertical transitions • Fabricate and install new Cricket at Chimney • Remove and reinstall existing Lightening rod protection • Manufacturer fifty (50) year material warranty shall be included
