Description:
The Microsystems Technology Office (MTO) of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) is soliciting proposals for a Pitch Day event. The goal of the MTO Pitch Day is to fund proposals for short-term efforts with the potential to grow into groundbreaking new DARPA programs, and to encourage participation by new and first-time or non-traditional proposers. The solicitation is open to all responsible sources capable of satisfying the Government's needs, including both traditional defense contractors and non-traditional defense contractors. Proposers must submit an abstract consisting of a technical description of their idea in response to one of the Thrust Areas listed in the solicitation. The abstract deadline is April 23, 2025, at 12:00 p.m., Eastern Time Zone (ET). Some key points to note: • The solicitation is divided into three Thrust Areas: Unconventional Computing, Biologically Inspired Microsystems, and Commercially Catalyzed Defense Deployment. • Proposers must clearly mark and identify their Abstract as responding to one of the Thrust Areas. • The technical approach must be consistent with the Phase dollar value and duration. • Government funding will only cover proposed labor, required materials, equipment, and Other Direct Costs. • No subawardees are permitted. • Proposers must have an active SAM registration with a CAGE.
