The U.S. Consulate General Sapporo Public Affairs Section (PAS) is seeking applications for its Public Diplomacy Small Grants Program. The program aims to strengthen cultural ties between the U.S. and Japan through sports exchange programming that highlights shared values and promotes bilateral cooperation. Projects should include an American sports cultural element with connection to American experts, organizations, or institutions. • Examples of projects include sports workshops or clinics by American professional sports players/coaches, youth exchanges between U.S.-Japan sister cities or sister schools, and speaker programs on the Olympics/Paralympics/Special Olympics by specialists. • Priority program areas include U.S.-Japan youth exchange through sports and sports clinics/workshops with American professionals. • The program is open to U.S. and Japanese registered not-for-profit organizations, individuals, non-profit or governmental educational institutions, and governmental institutions.
