The Santa Clara Valley Water District (Valley Water) is seeking a qualified contractor to provide goat grazing services for targeted vegetation management at multiple sites within its properties and jurisdiction. The purpose of this contract is to utilize goat grazing as an environmentally friendly method of managing vegetation, reducing fire fuel loads of assigned areas, and maintaining safe open spaces while ensuring the protection of sensitive areas. The contract will be for an initial two-year term with the option of three one-year term extensions. The contractor will be required to provide the services outlined in the Scope and Specifications section of the ITB. • The contractor must have experience in providing goat grazing services for vegetation management. • The contractor must have the necessary equipment and personnel to perform the services. • The contractor must be able to provide the services in a safe and environmentally responsible manner. • The contractor must be able to provide future services, if appropriate. • The contractor must comply with all applicable laws and regulations. • The contractor must have a record of good or better performance under prior contracts with Valley Water or other public entities.
