The City of Brockton, Department of Public Works, is seeking bids for Street Reconstruction at various locations within the City of Brockton. The contract will be for a period of one year, with options for extension for two additional years. The contractor will be required to perform the reconstruction of existing streets and roadways, including subsurface investigations, installation of new traffic control signal equipment, and other related work. The contractor must be pre-qualified and certified in accordance with the "Regulations Governing Classification and Rating of Prospective Bidders" and must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including the Davis-Bacon Act and the Massachusetts Prevailing Wage Rates. • The contract requires a bid bond in the amount of 5% of the total bid. • The contractor must provide a performance bond and a labor and material bond, each in the sum of 100% and 50% of the contract price, respectively. • The contractor must comply with the requirements of Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968, as amended. • The contractor must provide equal employment opportunities and comply with all applicable laws and regulations related to employment and labor. • The contractor must provide insurance coverage as required by the City of Brockton.
