The City of Saratoga Springs is seeking a consultant to provide engineering services for building and planning. The selected consultant will be expected to provide services to support the City's Planning and Building Departments in their reviews and oversight of proposed development applications and ongoing construction projects. The range of services may include land use application reviews, transportation studies and evaluations, SEQR reviews, and various land use plan and policy reviews. The consultant will also be responsible for reviewing building permit applications and construction documents to ensure compliance with the NYS Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Code, the NYS Energy Code, and the City's Unified Development Ordinance. • The consultant must be licensed by the NYS Office of Professions - Education Department as applicable to the service provided. • The consultant must maintain an active and valid certification as a NYS Code Enforcement Official. • The consultant must be able to conduct inspections as requested by the Building Department or the project's general contractor with two business days' advanced notice. • The consultant must refrain from working for the same developers on the same projects. • The consultant must provide proof of NYS Professional Engineering and/or Architectural Licensure and NYS Code Enforcement Official Certification.
