Description:
The United States Space Force (USSF), Space Systems Command (SSC), is seeking proposals for the National Security Space Launch (NSSL) Phase 3 Lane 1 Fiscal Year (FY) 2026 On-Ramp. The NSSL program aims to deliver national security space capability to the warfighter, and the Phase 3 Lane 1 approach involves providing assured access to space at affordable prices. The acquisition consists of multiple award Indefinite-Delivery Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) contracts, with Lane 1 launch services to be procured via launch service task orders (LSTOs). • The IDIQ contracts will have a three-year basic ordering period and a 5-year option ordering period. • Offerors must comply with the U.S. Commercial Provider definition of the Commercial Space Act of 1998. • Proposals are due by 1500 Pacific Time on Monday, 22 December 2025. • The Government intends to release draft FOPRs in 2nd quarter FY26 and the final FOPRs in 3rd quarter FY26.

Budget Estimate (AI):

$10,000,000 – $500,000,000

The budget amount for this opportunity is not explicitly stated in the document. However, considering the scope of the project, which involves multiple award IDIQ contracts for space launch services, the budget amount could be substantial. The fact that the Government intends to competitively award multiple contracts and reopen the solicitation on an annual basis suggests a significant investment in the NSSL program. A rough estimate of the budget amount could be in the range of tens to hundreds of millions of dollars, considering the complexity and scale of space launch services. However, this is a very rough estimate and should be taken as a ballpark figure.
