Description:
The City of Laurel is seeking architectural and engineering services for various projects. The selected firm will provide services including drainage design, stormwater management, erosion/sediment control, stream assessment and restoration, geotechnical/borings, utility designation/locating, utility design, maintenance of traffic, public outreach, specifications, and cost estimates. The firm must have at least 10 years of experience with municipality work and 10 years of experience delivering services comparable to those outlined in the solicitation. The firm must also have a continuity of operations plan in place. • The contract will be awarded to the offeror whose proposal offers the best value, considering both pricing and technical factors. • The City prefers a transportation-focused civil engineer for roadway planning, design, and operation. • There is no MBE/DBE requirement for this proposal. • The firm must submit five bound copies of the proposal, which may include promotional literature. • The City will request rates from short-listed firms, which should be fully loaded with overhead and profit. • The City will depend on grant funding from other sources, such as MDOT sustainable Maryland Bikeway, Safe Routes to schools, and SS4A (Safe Streets for All).
