Description:
The City of Seattle’s Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) is seeking a qualified supplier to provide, deliver, calibrate, and commission a 40 lb On-Site Hypochlorite Generation System, including a storage tank and all associated components, for installation at the Myrtle Reservoir. The system is critical to maintaining safe and effective water disinfection within SPU’s drinking water distribution system. The work includes delivery, setup, calibration, testing, commissioning, warranty coverage, and training of SPU staff in operation and maintenance of the system. • The system must be capable of producing sodium hypochlorite through on-site electrochemical generation using salt and water. • The system must meet NSF/ANSI 61 certification requirements for potable water applications. • The vendor must be a certified dealer or distributor of hypochlorite generation systems and provide documentation confirming this with bid submittal. • The vendor, its employees, or subcontractors must have two years of prior experience installing, calibrating, and testing on-site hypochlorite generation systems. • The vendor must attend one of the scheduled job-site visits.
