The City of Austin is seeking a supplier to provide Triploid (sterile) Grass Carp to reduce hydrilla populations in Lake Austin. The contract will be for an initial term of 12 months, with the option to extend for up to 4 additional 12-month periods. The City's anticipated budget for the initial contract year is $50,000. The contractor will be responsible for delivering the Sterile Grass Carp to a designated site in Lake Austin, and for ensuring the health and post-stocking survival of the fish. • The contractor must have an exotic species permit from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. • The contractor must provide proof of the permit with their bid submittal. • The contractor must deliver the Sterile Grass Carp within 14 calendar days of notice of award. • The contractor must provide adequate supervision to ensure that all work is done in accordance with the solicitation and with generally accepted practices. • The contractor must not be compensated for any Sterile Grass Carp injured or killed during the stocking process. • The contractor must replace or repair any damage to property due to contractor error or negligence.
