The Government of the Virgin Islands is seeking a contractor to provide dumpster rental and trash removal services in the St. Thomas/St. John District. The contractor will be responsible for complying with OSHA requirements, registering solid waste hauling vehicles, and invoicing for actual work performed. The services include delivering, setting up, and maintaining rented dumpsters, inspecting and providing site cleanup after each trash removal service, and transporting filled dumpsters to a landfill location approved by the Virgin Islands Waste Management Authority. The contractor must also obtain and provide all necessary equipment, supplies, tools, materials, repair parts, labor, vehicles, transportation, and management oversight to perform the services. • The contractor must comply with all Federal Safety Standards and State Safety Regulations applicable to the equipment and property. • The contractor must register all solid waste hauling vehicles/equipment in accordance with all current applicable Federal and Local laws, ordinances, and regulations. • The contractor must invoice for actual work performed, including date of service, agency serviced, location, size of dumpster, description of service, service frequency, tipping fee, and unit and total cost of service. • The contractor must deliver, set up, and maintain each rented dumpster. • The contractor must inspect and provide site cleanup after each trash removal service. • The contractor must transport filled dumpsters to a landfill location approved by the Virgin Islands Waste Management Authority. • The contractor must return emptied dumpsters to their original location within 12 hours of removal.
