The City of Apopka is seeking a consultant to conduct a comprehensive feasibility study for the annexation of South Apopka. The study will evaluate the practicability and implications of annexing specified unincorporated areas into the City's municipal boundaries and document the City's plans for the extension of urban services to such areas. The consultant will be responsible for gathering and analyzing relevant data, coordinating with City staff, and preparing a written report consistent with the requirements of Florida Statute 171.042. • The consultant will prepare a series of maps illustrating current and proposed municipal boundaries, existing major trunk water mains and sewer interceptors, and proposed extensions of such mains and outfalls. • The consultant will prepare written documentation certifying that the area proposed for annexation satisfies the criteria set forth in Florida Statute 171.043. • The consultant will analyze the fiscal impacts of annexation and prepare a detailed report setting forth the City's plans for extending each major municipal service into the area proposed for annexation.
