Description:
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is seeking information from potential contractors for the design, delivery, installation, and training of a centralized dust extraction system at the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center (MMAC) in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The system should be capable of supplying vacuum pressure greater than or equal to 7" Water Column (WC) at an airflow greater than or equal to 400CFM, at the tool interface, to a minimum of six of the eight tool interfaces simultaneously. The system should also include features such as HEPA filtration, auto-clean or pulse-jet HEPA filtration, and a wheeled 55-gallon dust collection drum with level sensor and quick-release system. The contractor will be responsible for providing training for up to five machine operators and ensuring that the system is designed and constructed to permit effective maintenance. • The system should be new and unused (not a prototype) • The system should be delivered and installed in the Paint Shop, Building 2, Logistics Support Facility (LSF), MMAC, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma • The system should include eight workstations, four in the sanding booth and four in the adjacent blasting room • The system should have a NEMA-rated control panel with motor overload protection, system monitoring, and emergency stop • The system should have a ductwork made from galvanized steel and designed to minimize pressure loss and allow for easy cleanout
