The project involves the implementation of an Adaptive Traffic Control System (ATCS) on Okeechobee Boulevard in West Palm Beach, Florida. The ATCS will collect real-time traffic data, detect fluctuations and pattern changes, and dynamically adjust traffic signal timing plans to better manage real-time traffic conditions. The goal is to reduce congestion, improve travel times, and enhance overall safety for all road users. The project includes the upgrade of 13 signalized intersections with new traffic signal cabinets, controllers, and vehicle detection systems. The contractor will be responsible for designing, constructing, installing, integrating, testing, and maintaining the ATCS.
