The North Carolina Department of Transportation is seeking a contractor to provide professional lawn and grounds maintenance services for rest areas in Cumberland County. The contract will be for a period of one year, with the option to extend for up to four additional years. The contractor will be responsible for providing labor, supervision, equipment, and supplies to maintain the rest areas, including lawns, plantings, and other landscaping features. The contractor must have a current and valid North Carolina Ground Applicator Pesticide License and must be certified as a Small Business Enterprise (SBE) by the NCDOT Office of Civil Rights SBE Program Manager. • The contractor will be required to provide a performance guarantee in the amount of 5% of the contract price. • The contractor will be required to maintain liability insurance with a limit of $5,000,000 per occurrence and $5,000,000 general aggregate. • The contractor will be required to comply with all applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and ordinances. • The contractor will be required to provide a detailed operations plan, including a materials list and personnel plan. • The contractor will be required to provide a minimum of three references. • The contractor will be required to submit a copy of their current pesticide license.
