Description:
Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station (TEES) is seeking a qualified vendor to design, deliver, install, and support a state‑of‑the‑art, large‑scale GPU High‑Performance Computing (HPC) cluster for the Texas IGNITE program. The effort is a turn‑key solution that must be fully integrated, tested, and workload‑ready at delivery, and includes hardware, software, data‑center co‑location options, and multi‑year support services. The contract will initially run for three years with options for extensions, and vendors must meet extensive technical, security, and certification requirements, including executive‑order certifications, VetHUB subcontracting plan, and export‑control compliance. • Provide a turnkey GPU‑focused HPC cluster (minimum 500 GPUs, scalable to ~1,000) with water‑cooling, high‑bandwidth interconnect, and integrated storage (≥ 8 PB fast tier, ≥ 12 PB archive tier). • Deliver associated software stack, licensing, and 3‑year enterprise support, plus professional services for workload management, cluster operations, and hardware support. • Offer one of four data‑center co‑location models (A&M‑owned facility, Texas‑based third‑party facility with migration option, longer‑term Texas facility, or a public‑private partnership model). • Provide a minimum 3‑year warranty, 24 × 7 × 365 on‑site support (next‑business‑day), and compliance with CMMC Level 2, NIST 800‑53/171, and Texas‑specific security standards.

Budget Estimate (AI):

$10,000,000 – $30,000,000

While the solicitation does not disclose a total contract value, a turnkey GPU HPC cluster of the described scale (500+ GPUs, multi‑petabyte storage, 3‑year support, and optional data‑center hosting) typically ranges from $10 million to $30 million depending on hardware choices, licensing, and service levels. The lower end assumes modest hardware and basic support; the higher end reflects top‑tier GPUs, extensive storage, and full‑service professional support.
