Description:
The United States Coast Guard (USCG) is conducting market research to assess the availability and suitability of U.S. built and designed Offshore Supply Vessels (OSVs) that could be purchased and/or leased to support near-term mission operations in the Gulf of America and Caribbean Sea. The USCG is looking for vessels that can provide logistics support, potential limited law enforcement capability, increased maritime domain awareness, and extend the range and endurance of other USCG surface assets. The vessels should have a length of 300 ft or less, a draft of 23 ft or less, a vessel speed of 12 knots or greater, and a range of 2,000 nm or greater. The vessels should also have the capability to launch and recover two Coast Guard Standard boats and operate underway without replenishment for at least 21 days. • The USCG is interested in purchasing or leasing multiple OSVs to be employed as U.S. warships. • The vessels should be capable of being modified to increase the number of crew accommodations and storage capacity. • The USCG is considering several different crewing strategies: contractor operated, a hybrid contractor and USCG crew, or a full USCG crew. • The vessels should be capable of refueling other vessels at sea, and if not, what modifications would be necessary to add that capability. • The USCG seeks to understand what existing vessels satisfy or closely satisfy the preliminary capability parameters and are available for the USCG to utilize as soon as possible.

Budget Estimate (AI):

$10,000,000 – $50,000,000

The budget for this opportunity is difficult to estimate because the document does not provide a specific budget or pricing information. However, based on the requirements and specifications, it can be estimated that the budget could be in the range of $10 million to $50 million, considering the cost of purchasing or leasing multiple OSVs, modifying them to meet the USCG's requirements, and providing crewing and operational services. The budget could also depend on the number of vessels purchased or leased, the duration of the contract, and the level of modifications required.
