Description:
The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to issue a solicitation for the construction of the Medium Landing Ship (LSM) Block 1 using a commercial/non-developmental design. The Government plans to solicit and negotiate the proposed contract with Bollinger Shipyards Lockport, L.L.C. under the authority of 10 U.S.C. § 3204(a)(5). The notice is for information only and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to solicit contractual offers or award contracts. • The construction project is for the lead ship of the LSM program. • The Government intends to exempt the contract from full and open competition. • Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. • All proposals received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government.
