Description:
The City of Norwalk is seeking a qualified consultant to provide professional design and construction support services for the installation of new emergency generator sets at the Norwalk Arts and Sports Complex (NASC) and the Senior Center. The selected Proposer will enter into a professional services agreement with the City of Norwalk to provide these services. The scope of work includes performing a current ampere load review, site review, design and development of construction documents, responding to RFIs during construction, and performing site visits as needed. The project is funded by a FEMA grant, and the successful Proposer will be required to comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. • The project consists of professional engineering services for the design and preparation of plans and specifications and cost estimate(s) for the supply and installation of an appropriately sized emergency backup generator (genset) with matching automatic transfer switch and appurtenances. • The consultant shall provide construction support services during construction. • The project is funded by a FEMA grant, and the successful Proposer will be required to comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. • The City of Norwalk reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive information or irregularities to the extent permitted by law in any proposal received, and to be the sole judge of the merits of the respective proposals received. • The successful Proposer will be required to comply with Equal Employment Opportunity and all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
