Description:
The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) is seeking organizations to support two complementary efforts: industrial base research and design and facilitation of stakeholder experimentation events. The goal is to inform the scaling of the U.S. industrial base by identifying systemic constraints and developing solutions to address them. Proposals may address either or both areas, and organizations specializing in one domain are encouraged to apply individually or partner with others. The proposed work should surface real-world constraints and solutions across manufacturing, capital formation, supply chains, workforce, and regulatory policy. Key aspects of the proposal include: • Illuminating systemic constraints and analyzing dimensions like infrastructure, workforce, capital, and supply chains • Developing analytic tools, datasets, and insight products that advance the state of the art • Delivering raw and synthesized outputs compatible with ongoing ACO analytical efforts • Designing and facilitating stakeholder experimentation events to identify actionable scaling constraints and capture real-time, structured data • Generating decision-grade research inputs for immediate analysis and application

Budget Estimate (AI):

$500,000 – $5,000,000

Given the nature of the proposal, which involves research and development in the physical, engineering, and life sciences, it is difficult to estimate the exact budget. However, considering that the proposal is for a research and experimentation project, the budget could be in the range of $500,000 to $5 million. This estimate is based on the assumption that the project will involve a team of researchers and engineers working on a complex problem, and the budget will depend on the scope and complexity of the project. Factors that may influence the likely payment range include the number of personnel involved, the duration of the project, and the level of funding allocated to the project.
