The University of Colorado Boulder is seeking proposals from qualified proposers to conduct a comprehensive IT assessment and modernization initiative. The engagement will address five strategic domains: foundational IT infrastructure, institutional research, cybersecurity and risk, research computing, and innovation and AI readiness. The selected proposer will evaluate the current federated IT model, identify improvement opportunities, and deliver a sectioned roadmap aligned with institutional goals for research, student success, and operational efficiency. Key aspects of the project include: • Conducting a high-level review of the University's current federated IT model • Evaluating how well the current model supports University-wide goals • Assessing the effectiveness and efficiency of the current structure • Identifying risks and opportunities related to cybersecurity, compliance, redundancy, organizational and cost inefficiencies • Providing comprehensive recommendations for modernizing institutional research functions and data integration/architecture • Benchmarking the University's model against peer institutions and industry best practices
