Description:
The New York City Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) is seeking organizations to provide workforce development and wraparound services to underemployed or unemployed participants, ages 18 to 40, involved in the criminal justice system or impacted by community violence. The program will offer work readiness training, occupational training, and internships for in-demand sectors, as well as supportive services such as mental health counseling and connections to social services. The goal of the program is to provide pathways to employment and economic mobility for people who reside in communities where community violence is most prevalent. • The program will serve 500 participants in Fiscal Year 2026 and 500 participants in Fiscal Year 2027. • Contractors are required to provide advanced occupational training leading to credentials, in-demand skill development, and occupational training in at least one of the specified sectors. • Contractors must have at least three years of experience providing workforce services in the proposed sector(s) and must demonstrate the ability to implement required activities according to the criteria listed in the contractor expectations subsection. • The anticipated total funding available for the contracts awarded through this Solicitation is $13,217,500.
