Description:
The City of West Sacramento is seeking a qualified firm or individual to provide an Urban Forest Master Plan and nexus study. The plan should analyze and identify priority locations for tree canopy expansion, develop realistic and measurable urban forestry objectives, and determine strategies to preserve heritage trees and expand canopy coverage in underserved communities. The scope of work includes project management, public outreach, tree inventory and canopy coverage study, analysis of trends and standards, and development of a final plan and supporting materials. The city is looking for a proposer with experience in urban forestry and a proven ability to complete the scope of work. • The Urban Forest Master Plan should include goals, policies, and priorities that articulate a clear vision for the city's urban forest. • The plan should include a comprehensive list of recommended improvements, with an emphasis on projects that have near-term implementation potential. • The proposer should provide a technical project approach that describes how they will complete the scope of work and communicate with the city throughout the project. • The proposer should include a cost proposal that includes all applicable federal, state, and local taxes and is all-inclusive of project expenses.
