The City of Long Beach, Department of Energy Resources, is seeking proposals from qualified demolition contractors for the abatement and demolition of the Southeast Resource Recovery Facility (SERRF). The selected contractor will be responsible for ensuring full compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations. The project includes asbestos abatement, lead-based paint removal, utility decoupling, demolition engineering, and construction safety. The contractor must have experience in decommissioning waste-to-energy or industrial power plant facilities and must provide a detailed demolition plan, including mobilization, decoupling procedures, hazardous materials abatement, and site restoration. The city reserves the right to modify the scope of work to maximize efficiency and mitigate potential hazards.
