Description:
UTMB seeks a vendor to deliver comprehensive plant‑optimization software services for its campus‑wide chilled‑water utility plants. The solution must provide real‑time control, integration with existing Building Automation Systems (Climatec, Thermosystems, Convergentz, future Iconics), optional field hardware, engineering and programming of control sequences, implementation, training, continuous monitoring, fault detection, and ongoing support. Vendors must also outline a high‑level pricing structure and describe cybersecurity and data‑ownership policies. • Real‑time, closed‑loop control and supervisory optimization for chillers, pumps, and cooling towers. • Integration with BAS using BACnet, Modbus, OPC, plus any required sensors or edge devices. • Full lifecycle services: design, installation, commissioning, training, remote monitoring, and support with defined response times.

Budget Estimate (AI):

$200,000 – $1,000,000

Based on comparable university utility optimization projects, total contract values typically range from a few hundred thousand dollars for software licensing and implementation to over a million for full‑scale hardware integration, long‑term support, and performance‑based incentives. Therefore, a reasonable estimate for this RFI response would be between $200,000 and $1,000,000, depending on the scope of hardware, customization, and service duration.
