The Ozarks Technical Community College is seeking a qualified contractor for asbestos abatement in the Mount Carmel Building, a 10,395 square foot building constructed approximately 90 years ago. The project involves safely and effectively abating identified asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The contractor must provide documentation of worker training, maintain appropriate insurance coverage, and possess at least 5 years of experience in asbestos abatement in historic or occupied structures. The project includes pre-construction requirements, containment and engineering controls, waste handling and disposal, site restoration, and schedule and work hours. • The contractor must review the asbestos survey summary and verify all ACM locations and quantities. • The contractor must conduct a pre-bid walkthrough with the Owner or Owner's representative. • The contractor must submit a detailed Work Plan, including abatement methods, waste handling procedures, and site restoration. • The contractor must obtain all necessary permits and notification required by regulatory agencies. • The contractor must coordinate site access, staging areas, and utilities with the Owner.
