The Chesapeake Public Schools is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to provide science textbooks, lab books, and other related ancillary materials and resources for high schools to support the Division's science curriculum department. The materials must align with the most current Virginia Standards of Learning (SOL) standards. The contract term will be for seven years, with the option to extend for six additional one-year periods. The District reserves the right to negotiate services and prices with the successful textbook suppliers. • The proposal must include a cost proposal, executive summary, scope of services, company background, qualifications and experience, and resumes for key personnel. • The vendor must certify compliance with certain offenses, such as not having been convicted of a violent felony or crime of moral turpitude. • The vendor must also certify compliance with immigration laws and regulations. • The selection process will involve a committee review of proposals, with emphasis on professional competence to provide the required services. • Interviews may be held with short-listed firms, and non-binding estimates may be requested.
