The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is seeking a qualified contractor to provide support services for the USDA National Hunger Hotline, texting service, and National Hunger Clearinghouse database. The contractor will operate and promote these services, providing food and nutrition assistance program information and other social services to low-income individuals and communities. The contractor will also maintain and update the database, perform quality control, and increase awareness of the services. The period of performance will be for a 1-year base period with four 1-year option periods. Key responsibilities include: • Operating the USDA National Hunger Hotline, providing live phone coverage in English and Spanish • Setting up an interactive voice response system and automated message for customers • Providing customers with up-to-date food and nutrition assistance and social services information • Maintaining and updating the USDA National Hunger Clearinghouse database • Performing quality control and reporting tasks • Increasing awareness of the services through various means
