The County of El Dorado is soliciting sealed Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from highly trained and qualified firms to provide as-needed background investigation services throughout the County for the County’s Sheriff’s Office. The successful Respondents will be named to a qualified list, which shall be valid for three years from the date of award. The County will assign work by either selecting a Respondent from the qualified list and negotiating a contract with that firm or soliciting informal submittals from at least three Respondents from the qualified list for specific tasks. • The scope of work includes compliance with California P.O.S.T. standards, comprehensive investigation process, timeliness and communication, reporting and documentation, professional conduct, and confidentiality and data security. • The County requires Respondents to have completed a California P.O.S.T. Background Investigator Course, be in compliance with California Government Code section 1029, have prior law enforcement background investigation experience, and pass a criminal background check. • The evaluation criteria include staff and team qualifications, experience of the firm, project management and approach, and references.
