The City of Austin is seeking a contractor to provide security fencing services, including the purchase of fencing and fencing-related products, installation of new fencing, repair services, and custom projects for substations and facilities. The contractor must have experience in security fence installation at energized facilities and must be approved, trained, and certified by the fence material manufacturer. The contract will be awarded to the responsible offeror submitting the low responsive bid, or best value responsive bid. • The contractor must provide documentation of at least one manufacturer certification that shows the product submitted in response to this specification has been in commercial service in the United States for a minimum of five years. • The contractor must provide a list of any other manufacturers they are certified, approved, and trained to use. • The contractor must have a supervisor with a minimum of 5+ years of experience in security fence installation at electric utility facilities. • The contractor's firm must have experience in security fence installation at energized facilities, with at least 3 previous projects within the last two years of demonstrated experience as a prime vendor in high security fencing installation and repair at an energized facility.
