The Maryland Department of General Services is seeking consultant services for elevator and vertical transportation conveying systems. The selected vendor will provide consulting and design work for upgrades, replacements, and repairs of elevators in large and small buildings. The scope of work includes program verification, schematic design, design development, cost estimating, construction document preparation, bid and award support, construction administration, and post-construction services. The contract will be for a period of five years, and the Department intends to select up to four awards as a result of this RFP. • The work involves consulting and design work on elevator and conveying systems upgrades, replacements, and repairs. • Vendors will provide qualified licensed and certified elevator and vertical transportation consulting services for renovation, remodel, and modernization projects. • The selected vendor must have at least five years of experience in elevator and vertical transportation conveying systems design and remodeling in urban buildings. • The vendor must currently possess and maintain required certifications, including CEI or CEIS, NAESAI, ANSI, and DLLR. • The contract requires compliance with various codes, laws, and ordinances, including ASME, NFPA, and OSHA. • The vendor must provide a complete bid package, including signed/sealed drawings and specifications, and a detailed estimate of costs to complete the renovation of elevators.
