Description:
The Department of Conservation and Recreation is seeking a state-certified well driller to drill up to four monitoring wells in accordance with standard practice. The wells will be constructed of 2-inch diameter schedule 40 polyvinyl chloride (PVC) materials, with 0.010-inch (10-slot) screens and a sand pack and bentonite seal. The project is expected to begin in the spring of 2026 and be completed by the spring of 2026. The contractor will be required to provide well completion reports and geologic logs, which will be considered deliverables. • The project involves drilling up to four monitoring wells in different locations across Massachusetts. • The wells will be drilled using hollow-stem augering, and the contractor will be required to develop the wells by pumping, surging, or other suitable means. • The contractor will be required to provide budget details by well and to participate in the Commonwealth's Prompt Payment Discount initiative. • The project is subject to the Massachusetts Public Records Law, and all responses and information submitted will be subject to public disclosure. • The contractor will be required to comply with the Commonwealth's Digital Accessibility Standards and to provide accessible digital assets.
