Description:
The City of Fresno is seeking a qualified hydrogeological consulting firm to provide engineering services for the Pump Station 290A project. The selected consultant will be responsible for providing hydrogeological support during the design, construction, development, and testing of a new municipal water supply well. The scope of services includes assisting in the design and preparation of specifications, attending pre-construction meetings, reviewing materials submittals, and observing contractor operations. The consultant will also be required to prepare a summary report for the new well at project completion. • The project will be carried out in two phases: Well Drilling and Site Improvements. • The Well Drilling phase includes drilling a borehole, installing the well casing, gravel pack, and a sand-cement sanitary seal. • A 24-hour pump test will be conducted to evaluate the aquifer’s hydraulic properties and determine the well’s pumping capacity. • The consultant will be required to commence support upon execution of the Notice to Proceed (NTP). • The Design scope of services is expected to run from February 2026 through August 2026, followed by Construction and Development scope of services from October 2026 to February 2027.
