The Region One Education Service Center is seeking proposals from firms for the selection of Child Nutrition Program – South Texas Cooperative Beef Products. The intent of this procurement solicitation is to contract with responsive and responsible vendors to provide local beef items suitable for the Child Nutrition Program – South Texas Cooperative Members for the operation of their feeding programs and preparation of nutritious student meals. The vendor must provide local beef items that meet the USDA school nutrition standards and requirements, as well as the Buy American Provision, and any additional requirements mandated by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and/or Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) and/or other applicable state agencies for cooperative members. Key points to consider: • The proposal must be submitted electronically through the eBuyOne Bonfire portal. • The vendor must be approved to do business in the state in which they are proposing service of goods in response to this RFP. • The vendor must provide a product list for other items not specified in the Bid Table and within the scope and intent of this bid solicitation. • The Region One ESC and its cooperative members are required to conduct a cost or price analysis for the procurement of goods and/or services not listed in the Bid Table, and within the scope of services offered with this bid solicitation. • The vendor may restrict service and sales to certain geographical areas or Member Districts within the scope of this Request for Proposal (RFP), but sales without restriction to all participating districts is preferred.
