Description:
The City of Los Angeles is seeking qualified contractors to perform expedited repair, replacement, installation, and/or design of damaged or missing pedestrian facilities, such as sidewalks and curb ramps, under the Rapid Pedestrian Facility Repair Program. The selected contractors will be placed on a pre-qualified list and will be required to respond to urgent repair requests. The scope of work may include traffic control, construction safety, saw-cutting, excavation, backfill, and compaction, among other tasks. The contractors will be evaluated based on their experience, technical capability, construction expertise, safety record, and financial stability. • The contractors must have experience in construction of pedestrian facilities and be familiar with the City's codes and standards. • The contractors must have the necessary equipment and personnel to respond to urgent repair requests. • The contractors must have a good safety record and be in compliance with the City's safety regulations. • The contractors must have the necessary insurance coverage and bonding capacity. • The contractors must be in compliance with the City's contracting requirements, including the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Local Business Preference Program.
