The City of Douglas is soliciting qualifications from GDOT pre-qualified consulting firms for Construction Engineering & Inspection (CEI) services at the Douglas Municipal Gene Chambers Airport. The selected firm will provide professional CEI services in support of various airport development projects. The scope of work includes on-site inspections, preparation of daily reports, quantity tracking, and as-built records. The City intends to establish a multi-year, task-order-based contract with the selected firm for a five-year period. • On-site inspections and observation of construction activities • Preparation of daily reports and photographic documentation • Quantity tracking and as-built records • Verification of materials and quantities for contractor pay applications • Coordination with materials testing laboratories for quality control and assurance • Oversight of erosion and sedimentation control measures • Participation in construction progress meetings and communication with project stakeholders • Review of contractor submittals, schedules, and Requests for Information (RFIs) • Assistance with punch list development, final inspections, and closeout documentation • Compliance monitoring for FAA, GDOT, and City grant requirements
