Description:
The City of Fontana is accepting proposals from qualified Architectural firms to provide professional design and engineering services for the conversion of an existing building into a full-service Restaurant/Bakery space. The proposed warm shell project is called the 8470 Nuevo Avenue Renovation Project. The Architect should design the space with a grease trap, new Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant restrooms, and wall coverings. The renovation will require new infrastructure for the electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. The key services to be performed include preparation of construction drawings, bid specifications, construction cost estimates, and construction support. • The project involves renovating an existing 8128 sqft building. • The Architect should keep in mind that roof repairs will also need to be made. • The proposed project schedule includes a walkthrough of the space on June 19, 2025, and a contract execution/issue NTP in Summer 2025. • The consultant’s overall responsibility and scope of work is to prepare construction drawings, bid specifications, construction cost estimates, and provide construction support. • The consultant shall detail all tasks anticipated during the design and construction of the proposed Project.
