The Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners is soliciting competitive sealed bids from qualified service providers for the Provision of Precision Laser Grading Services on an Annual Contract with four additional one-year options to renew for the Gwinnett County Department of Parks & Recreation. The contract is for services to quickly and accurately remove surface irregularities and weeds from turf surfaces while leaving the underlying root system intact to re-grow. Typical applications would be precision removal of lips from baseball and softball fields and preparation of sports fields for resodding. Bidders must provide a list of equipment currently owned and the number of employees available to complete the work specified. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. • The contract is for precision laser grading services for various parks throughout Gwinnett County. • The contractor must provide precision laser grading to +/- ¼” accuracy while leaving the root system in place. • The resulting surface must be very smooth and consistent without any need for settlement. • Spoils removed from the laser grading process should be viable sprigs that can be used to grass other areas as needed. • The contractor must respond within 24 hours to any phone calls or emails from county representatives. • The contractor shall be solely responsible for the safe execution of this work. • The contractor shall be responsible for ensuring the safety of its crews, the public, and park visitors.
