The United States Air Force, AFLCMC/PZIBA, is publishing a notice of intent to award a sole source contract for Expert Commercial Flooring Care Services and Maintenance at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. The proposed action is for floor care services including cleaning, stripping, waxing, buffing, and maintenance for several buildings. The contract period will be for 1 year with 4 option years. The Government intends to order from GSA Federal Supply Schedule holders in accordance with FAR Subpart 8.4. • The contract requires comprehensive floor care services for federal facilities. • The services include routine floor cleaning and maintenance, periodic deep cleaning, stripping, and refinishing, emergency cleaning services, supply of cleaning materials and equipment, and quality control and supervision. • The contract is expected to support employment opportunities for people who are blind or have severe disabilities. • The procurement is subject to the Javits-Wagner-O'Day Act, which requires the purchase of floor care services from participating nonprofit agencies when available.
