The University Medical Center of Southern Nevada is seeking a Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) for the UMC Acute Rehab Center project. The project involves a full renovation of approximately 38,000 square feet on the 4th and 5th floors of the Trauma Building, including the construction of two new external elevator shafts. The selected CMAR will be responsible for preconstruction and construction services, including design assistance, constructability reviews, budgeting, and construction scheduling. The project requires experience in healthcare construction, code compliance, and adherence to UMC Facility Standards for high-acuity environments. Key aspects of the project include: • Renovation of 38,000 square feet on the 4th and 5th floors • Construction of two new external elevator shafts • Creation of 29 private patient rooms, nursing stations, rehab space, classrooms, meeting rooms, and an area for support staff • Installation of new heating and cooling systems, including electronic thermostats and LED lighting • Integration with existing emergency power, fire alarm, life-safety, access control, and communication systems • Adherence to UMC Facility Standards for high-acuity environments
