Description:
The Town of North Hempstead is seeking qualified contractors to bid on Cesspool Cleaning Services on an on-call basis as required. This is a requirements contract with no minimum mandatory purchases or service requests. The selected vendor will be required to provide labor and equipment for the removal and disposal of the contents of sanitary septic systems and other areas requiring such services at various Town of North Hempstead locations. • The contractor must check in at the site office, service the site, and sign out or check out at the site office prior to leaving. • The contractor must completely pump out all contents of the septic system and include all sludge type material from the system. • The contractor must provide pump-out equipment with a meter or gauge to designate the amount being pumped out so the Town representative can monitor and ensure that the Town is being charged for the correct pumpage. • Payment will only be made for actual services received. • The contract term is for two years from the date of award, with the option to renew for two additional one-year periods on the same terms and conditions, including price, at the sole discretion of the Town.

Budget Estimate (AI):

$10,000 – $50,000

The budget for this contract can be estimated based on the services and rates provided by the bidder. The town will pay for actual services received, and the rates will be based on the cost per 1,000 gallons removed. The estimated budget will depend on the frequency and volume of services required. Assuming an average annual removal of 100,000 gallons, with a bid price of $0.10 per gallon, the estimated annual budget would be $10,000. Over the two-year contract term, the estimated budget would be $20,000. However, this is a rough estimate and the actual budget may vary depending on the services required and the rates bid by the contractor.
